TWIN FIRE SIGNS

Two fire signs lost in the pines
Blind to how to get out
It took some time to realign
After the long and winding route
Unbeknownst to what soon would be
Just past the threshold of cascading green
What lies ahead, a beauty to see
But, more so striking above the trees
Tangled affairs, emotional despair
Paved a path to where lovers meet
One hopeful stare, now blissfully aware
Of what had once felt incomplete
Subsided resistance, due to fate's firm insistence
A cordiform knot in invisible string
Made the best of the distance, the right path’s least resistant
Love transcending the space in-between
Never an effortless stroll, we all crave control
Imprisoned in a labyrinth of weeds
Life took its toll, as it does to every soul
They soon lost the full forest for dying leaves
Still a sight to behold when leaves do grow old
And you're left with wisdom, and kind understanding
Finding a home in your heart, and your delicate hold
Life enriched by russet and gold is enchanting
Now they wed on a bed of sand so fine
Barefooted and eager by the sea
Two fire signs, still intertwined
Twin flames that could easily burn for eternity
